(via)
With the Writer’s Guild of America on strike and all our favorite television shows going dark, the place to be this holiday season for a little entertainment is the theater. The holiday season on the big screen is fairing up pretty nicely as an option for family outings to include not only some holiday-themed movies, but some other fun family films.

Is there Such a Thing as Too Much Chocolate?

(via)
After seeing me on one of my little chocolate binges (we won’t talk about how often these happen), my husband has asked me if there’s such a thing as too much chocolate. I emphatically declared no one. That’s before I read about Chocolate Show going on in New York this week.

10 Steps for Surviving the Writer’s Strike

(via)
I watch too much TV. I’m the first to admit it (the first step for conquering any addiction is admitting you have a problem). That said, I don’t actually see myself giving up one of my favorite past times. At least until this strike hit. But as my favorite TV shows go dark one by one, I find myself in quite a quandary. So I’ve come up with my own 10-step (I know it really should’ve been 12) plan to avoid the withdrawal symptoms and help me survive the strike.

How can America Leave its Veterans Homeless?

(via)
An article in the New York Times yesterday, upset me and got me all fired up. It was an article discussing the Surge Seen in Number of Homeless Veternans. These are veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan, wars that are not even over yet. How can the "home of the brave" leave its brave homeless?

Do You Support the Writers Strike?

(via)
I’ll be honest with you. As the talks of a possible strike emerged and then became a reality, I was a little miffed. Why? Because it was affecting me and not very positively. One of my favorite past times has come to a screeching halt. The fates of my favorite characters have been left in limbo and my weeknights will soon be filled with reruns.

No Eggs for Minors this Halloween

I just read an article about a grocery store that is refusing to sell eggs to minors this week. Call me naive, but I didn’t realize that egging had become such a huge issue.

How to Survive a Horror Film: 7 Things Not to Put in Your Child’s Room

(via)
It seems like all the favorite horror films have the same ingredients — creepy bad guy that just won’t die, particular objects that give you the creeps, moments designed to make you jump out of your seat and the poor schmoo that doesn’t even know he’s going to die first. But even knowing the standard formula, could you survive a horror movie?

Does Heroes cross The Line with another disaster for New York?

(via)
After the sixth episode of Heroes, fans everywhere are asking who is Adam Monroe? But Adam’s identity isn’t the only new question fans are left with after watching “The Line.” There’s the state of New York on June 14, 2008 and the contents of Isaac’s paintings to debate too.

It’s that time again — for all things creepy and spooky to come out and play. But the real question is what will you snuggle up with on your couch in the darkest corner of your living room for a spine-tingling night of the best of the best in hair-raising Halloween films?

(via)
Do your children sometimes sleep in your bed with you? Did they when they were smaller? Would you admit it if they did? According to the New York Times, an increasing number of parents are letting their infants and small children sleep with them. But the really interesting fact is that most of these parents won’t admit it.

Look who will be vamping it up on ‘Supernatural’

(via)
The premiere of the third season of Supernatural is less than a week awhile. While I can’t wait for the return of the Winchester boys, I am equally excited about this season’s guest stars. ‘Big Bang Theory’ Explodes with Laughter

(via)
I’m a drama kind of girl. Don’t get me wrong, they don’t all have to be serious. I like comedy/dramas. But I’m a fan of the hour long show. In fact, I currently only watch one sitcom — How I Met Your Mother. However, I’ve been on the lookout for a partner to round out my 8 o’clock hour on Mondays. And I think I found it in The Big Bang Theory if the rest of the season is as funny as the pilot.

I watched my first premiere of a new fall series last night and I have to say if the rest of the offerings are as good as Chuck, we are in for a great season. I mean what else can you say about a show where the hero saves the day with porn of all things.
