「Eye-Fi Card」は容量2GBのメモリ領域と無線LAN機能を備えたSDメモリカード。これまでもSDIO規格（SDカードと同じ形状で、機能を拡張した規格）に対応した無線LANカードは登場していたが、SDIO対応スロットを有する機器以外では利用することができなかった。でも、「Eye-Fi Card」ならば、ごくごく普通のSDメモリカードスロットに差し込むだけで、無線LANが利用できてしまう。無線LANの電波が入るスポットであれば、撮影した写真をすぐにネットへアップロードが可能だ。ただし、ブラウザ経由のログイン認証が必要な公衆無線LANサービスには対応していない
