Introduction The Ubuntu developers are moving quickly to bring you the latest and greatest software the open source community has to offer. This is the Ubuntu 8.10 beta release, which brings a host of excellent new features. Note: This is a beta release. Do not install it on production machines. The final stable version will be released on October 30th, 2008.

eu aqui com o kalango linux livecd kalango 3.3 ABAIXO O QUE ESTÁ NO BLOG : Não aguentei a ansiedade (e a culpa foi do André Gondim) e baixei o novo Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex no notebook, tudo por causa de sua nova aparência, que inspirou o Ubuntu Netbook Remix (ou foi o contrário?). Nunca fui fã do tema original do Ubuntu, mas esta versão está simplesmente espetacular, apelidei-a carinhosamente de Ubuntu Chocolate, e você vai entender o porque olhando as imagens abaixo, clique nas miniaturas para vê-las no tamanho original:

Sempre quando vejo um mockup do Ubuntu pela internet fico pensando como seria se eu tivesse feito. Pois bem, eu fiz do meu jeito usando alguns elementos de outros mockups. Eu particularmente acho que a mudança do Ubuntu não pode ser radical, ele tem que ter algo de sua identidade passada, pois o visual do Ubuntu é único. E como o rotulo do Bombril ou da Maisena. Só de bater o olho de longe você já sabe o que é. O Ubuntu é facilmente identificado, e suas telas se diferenciam de todas as distros no primeiro olhar, como podemos ver no seriado de TV, Criminal Minds http://www.meiobit.com/files/penelope.jpg Mudanças muito radicais não são legais, pois descaracterizam o Ubuntu tirando a sua identidade visual.
