Haverá uma palestra sobre as novidades e funcionalidades da última versão do sistema operacional, com Kemel Zaidan (Legendário), líder do Ubuntu-SP. Primeiras impressões do Ubuntu 10.04 Artigos Seja você fã ou não do Ubuntu, o fato é que essa criação da Canonical no momento é a distribuição Linux para desktops mais popular do planeta. A versão mais recente, a 10.04, é uma versão de suporte a longo prazo (ou LTS), ou seja, ela vai receber atualizações até 2013 (a edição para servidores ainda conta com mais dois anos). Várias mudanças foram feitas no Ubuntu 10.04 "Lucid Lynx", e eu estava curioso para ver o que a equipe do Ubuntu havia preparado. Antes de experimentar a nova versão, tive a oportunidade de conversar com Gerry Carr, chefe de marketing de plataforma da Canonical.

Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx) Introduction * On April 29, 2010, Ubuntu 10.04 was released. * It is code named Lucid Lynx and is the successor to Karmic Koala (9.10) (Karmic+1). * Lucid Lynx is an LTS (Long Term Support) release. Estes são os temas que estarão disponíveis no Lucid Lynx, a ser lançado dia 29 de Abril, e agora poderá testar e maravilhar-se com a simplicidade e beleza que estará para vir. Estes temas são um pouco parecidos com o tema Elementary, que pode verificar por exemplo nos botões de minimizar e maximizar. Presente também neste artigo está um fantástico script para o gestor Conky criado por niquelnausea. No final do artigo terá instalado o tema Ambiance, a versão mais escura, e o Radiance, a versão mais clara. Também instalará os ícones Ubuntu-Mono, que embora não sejam iguais aos que o Lucid Lynx utilizará, complementam o tema perfeitamente.
