Magic Lantern Firmware Wiki for 5D Mark II

(via)
Magic Lantern is an open platform for developing enhancements to the amazing Canon 5D Mark II full frame digital SLR. This camera is a "game changer" for independent film makers: * It allows the use of a wide range of lenses (anything that can be adapted to the EF mount). * The 35mm full-frame sensor is larger than the RED ONE's sensor, Super 35 film. It is approximately the size of VistaVision. This means shallower native depth-of-field than anything on the market, except for the Phantom 65. * The dynamic range and latitude are close to the capabilities of high-end HD cameras. * The low-light performance is currently unrivaled, even by the RED ONE.

Fraser Speirs – On the Flickr support in iPhoto ‘09

(via)
As you may know, Apple added Flickr uploading to iPhoto ‘09. As you may guess, I was a little perturbed at this since I pay my mortgage by selling, er, a Flickr upload plugin for iPhoto. I acquired my copy of iLife ‘09 yesterday and decided to dive deep on how Apple have implemented Flickr integration in iPhoto ‘09. Here are the results of my investigation. Be aware as you read that this is the result of a morning’s click-around investigation and not months of serious use. I will do my best to give an honest assessment of what is in iPhoto ‘09, and you’ve already read my full disclosure in the previous paragraph.

ISO50 - The Visual Work of Scott Hansen » Blog Archive » Vintage-ize Your Iphone Photos

After I posted about the Poladroid app some people were asking about a Lomo version of the concept. My friend Erik Pettersson has released a set of photo processing apps for the iPhone which give your digital shots that vintage warmth. There’s a Vint Red, Green and B&W plugin, each treating the colors a bit differently. My favorite is the Green, it definitely gives you that low ISO Lomo feel complete with vignetting. More examples are available on Erik’s Flickr. You can download the Vint plugins from the iTunes store or on your iPhone, one is free, the other two are $1 each.
