This guide describes how to set up a full email solution in Debian Linux (all code is from Debian Etch). I was asked to design a secure, scalable, portable solution for a small company. While the guide references many 'servers', the company only had 4 physical machines, Xen was used to virtualize the entire solution. That particular aspect of the system is not discussed in this guide, although I will try to get it into the next revision.

Postfix Admin Postfix Admin is a Web-based management tool for Postfix. It handles Postfix-style virtual domains and users that are stored in MySQL. It has support for over 20 languages. It was initially released in December of 2002.

To run Amavis, you’ll have to setup your amavis.conf file. They suggest reading the Postfix install doc for Amavis, /usr/share/doc/amavisd-new/README.postfix.gz.

The postgrey package is a greylisting implementation for postfix. It is a breeze to set-up and stopped 89.99% of my spam in conjunction with blacklisting.
