PUBLIC MARKS with tags photojournalism & webdesign

A few people have been asking me how the LENS Blog on The New York Times site came to be and what software it was built on. I thought I’d shed a little light on the development process and answer some of these questions.

Originally founded in 1994 at the University of Missouri School of Journalism, MediaStorm relaunched in March of 2005 with a focus on creating cinematic narratives for distribution across a variety of platforms. In November 2005, MediaStorm premiered its award-winning multimedia publication http://mediastorm.org. Utilizing animation, audio, video and the power of still photography, we publish diverse narratives that speak to the heart of the human condition.

Interactive Narratives is designed to capture the best of online visual storytelling as practiced by online and print journalists from around the country and the world. Our goal is to highlight rich-media content, engaging storytelling, and eye-popping design in an environment that fosters interaction, discussion, and learning.

Lacitedesmortes.net est un programme interactif de type Webdocumentaire, qui accompagne le livre La ville qui tue les femmes, enquête à Ciudad Juarez, écrit par Jean-Christophe Rampal et Marc Fernandez. (Edité par hachette Littératures). Il fait également échos au documentaire du même nom, diffusé sur Canal+, le lundi 03 octobre à 22h50.
