Hybrid invasion of the U.S. is going fast and soon every second car on the roads will be “green”. This week was significant for Japanese and American automakers: Toyota has announced that it reached one million mark in sales of gas-electric cars for American customers and Ford has assembled 100,000th hybrid SUV.

It is already well-known that at the next Detroit Auto Show Toyota is going to represent its third generation Prius hybrid sedan. This model which will be electric motors and powered by enlarged and enforced 1.8-liter engine has been designed to confirm the Toyota’s hybrid leadership, at least for the next few years.

This coming Sunday, hold on to your seats and better tie those Acura belts as tight as you can because three Toyota Camrys will sweep the tracks as the green flag waves across the starting line at the Dover International Speedway event!
