Galleriffic was inspired by Mike Alsup's Cycle plugin, but with performance in mind for delivering a high volume of photos. Since I wrote my last tutorial on how to create a CSS only multilevel dropdown menu I got a lot of visitors who wanted to know how I created the main navigation of kriesi.at. (a so called kwicks menu) The interest in extraordinary menus seems to be high nowadays, so today I will teach you how this is done. Since the Apple-flavored Leopard-text-indent style is currently one of my favorite menu styles, we will start from scratch and build such a menu in Photoshop, then create the needed HTML and CSS and last but not least improve it via jQuery.

Sauvegarder un favori, un bookmark ou un marque-page (quelque soit le nom qu'on lui donne) est une chose basique proposée depuis bien longtemps sur tous les navigateurs Internet depuis des années... Depuis quelques temps maintenant, de très nombreux sites permettent également de sauvegarder l'ensemble de ses bookmarks sur un espace web dédié, ce qui permet de s'affranchir de la contrainte de recopier ces favoris sur toutes les machines qu'on utilise, mais permet également d'y accéder de partout... A l'heure du web 2.0 et de ses tendances sociales, il est désormais possible de partager ses bookmarks avec son réseau...les sites de bookmarking sont devenus de véritables sites communautaires, à l' instar de Delicious désormais devenu une véritable référence du genre ! Mais il manquait encore une dimension importante: la possibilité de sauvegarder non plus une adresse, mais un groupe d'adresses ! En effet, la navigation par onglets s'est très largement démocratisée (au point même que Microsoft est ajouté cette fonctionnalité à la dernière version de son navigateur 'Internet Explorer...). Il peut donc être utile de pouvoir sauvegarder un groupe d'adresses ouvertes dans plusieurs onglets et c'est ce que propose Agglom !

Kwicks for jQuery is a plugin that simulates the insatiably attractive Mootools effect of the same name. From hence forth, "Kwicks" will be used in reference to this one, and not the other one.

By designing your site with caching in mind, you can target different classes of resources to give them different expiration times with only a few lines of code.
