O Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon vai tomando forma conforme se aproxima a data de seu lançamento, previsto para outubro. A versão preliminar Tribe 5 foi lançada trazendo novidades (para o Ubuntu, ao menos) como a adoção do system-config-printer (originalmente uma ferramenta da Red Hat e Fedora) para atuar no lugar do gnome-cups-manager, upgrade do CUPS para a versão 1.3, um assistente localizador de plugins e gerenciador de extensões para o Firefox, e o novo painel de configuração do X.

Introduction
The Ubuntu developers are hurrying to bring you the absolute latest and greatest software the Open Source Community has to offer. Gutsy Gibbon Tribe 4 is the fourth alpha release of Ubuntu 7.10, and this alpha release brings a host of excellent new features.
Note: This is still an alpha release. Do not install it on production machines. The final stable version will be released in October 2007.
