Upgrade Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) to Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex) Beta

Ubuntu 8.10 is the upcoming version of the Ubuntu operating system. The common name given to this release from the time of its early development was “Intrepid Ibex”. Note: This is still a beta release. Do not install it on production machines. The final stable version will be released in 30th October 2008.

Ubuntu 8.04 LTS (Hardy Heron) Alpha 4

Desktop CD The desktop CD allows you to try Ubuntu without changing your computer at all, and at your option to install it permanently later. This type of CD is what most people will want to use. You will need at least 320MB of RAM to install from this CD. There are two images available, each for a different type of computer:
