Female Hair Loss May Be Due to PCOS
15% of women have hair loss, especially women with PCO'S Each hair grows for 2-6 years, then rests and falls out. A new hair replaces it. At any time, 85% of hair is growing and 15% is resting. Hair loss occurs when hair gets stuck in the resting phase. In the case of women with PCO'S excessively high levels of male hormones may be responsible.
