News Reporting Pictures : I follow three rules while reporting on news events : Honesty - Respect - Neutrality. Honesty is of course the basis. No lies, no fakes, only the truth. Respect toward my subjects is fundamental. But this respect is also directed toward the people I work for and the viewers of my pictures. Neutrality is my way of approaching things. It has been for a long while. I don't care what my personnal feelings or conviction are about the subject I shoot. As a witness, I have to keep that for myself as much as possible. "Art" pictures : Taking pictures, in my way of doing it, is about telling stories. Stories can be perfect, clean, glamourous, desirable, but are often dirty, nasty, ugly, sad, and unperfect. One way or the other, visual and story must work together to make a great picture. Children's books from the mid 20th century

I created this series in 2003 from images found on the web for a project about pornography and never used it. These interiors are too fantastical not too share and in combination with the invisible pornography creates very interesting visuals. Not dissimilar from work by a friend called Tracy Lynch and the original obscene interiors.

"1000 Frames of Hitchcock" is an attempt to reduce each of the 52 available major Hitchcock films down to just 1000 frames. You can click on any of the frames to get a larger image, and you are free to make use of the images to illustrate your web site, articles, etc. Further details are available on Dave's weblog and Flickr photostream.

In honor of Sputnik 1, 50 years later (on Oct. 4th), I present to you all a nice little gem of a book I got off of ebay about a year ago: Space Alphabet (1964) by Irene Zacks. Pictures by Peter P. Plasencia. It's the entire book. I normally don't do this, but it's just too good not to share it all.

While waiting for Red Hot Chili Peppers to come on stage. I was standing in the photo pit shooting the crowd. Everyone was so sweaty and naked. Looked like a big orgy. Albeit not a very pleasurable one :)
