Ce que l’on remarque, c’est que ce n’est pas vraiment la concurrence qui est au cœur des problèmes de Microsoft; c’est le fait que des nouvelles sociétés ont donné l’envie aux utilisateurs d’essayer de nouvelles technologies et de payer pour, s’il le faut. Les consommateurs de la génération -Y se rendent compte qu’ils n’ont plus besoin de Microsoft. Des sociétés comme Facebook, Apple et Google ont changé les habitudes de consommation, surtout celles des jeunes.

Aujourd'hui la capitalisation boursière de la société est de 114 milliards de dollars, loin devant Dell qui n'en a que 64 et même Oracle, dont le patron voyait Apple mort il y a 10 ans et qui ne pèse "que" 100 milliards. Si l'action continue à grimper, cette capitalisation va dépasser celle d'Intel (145) et d'IBM (161).

La seule solution légale proposée par Apple pour craquer les DRM, est de graver un CD. Un programme a donc joué le jeu et simule une gravure, déplombe les fichiers, et les « ré-importe » ensuite dans iTunes. En clair, vous vous retrouvez avec des copies de vos fichiers sans aucune restriction. Quant à la légalité de la chose, il faudrait regarder la licence en détail, mais à première vue, c'est une bonne alternative.

omeone by the name of UNIXGEEK posted an AppleScript a while ago at Mac Geekery that changes Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger's keyboard layout to play nicely with a Windows keyboard. To be specific: the Command and Option keys are switched on a Windows keyboard (as the Windows key and Alt, respectively), so this script simply changes the layout on Tiger so your non-Apple keyboard still feels like home (sorry pre-Tiger users, Apple only introduced the ability to tinker with keyboard layouts in 10.4). If you aren't a fan of Apple's stock Pro keyboard or the MacBook/Pro 'boards, this script is for you. However, the script at Mac Geekery has a few errors in it, and Engadget's Ryan Block trudged through the post's discussions to make the proper edits to the script, and posted a fixed copy for everyone's benefit (download it from us, not Ryan. We don't wanna hit him with the TUAW effect).

Just click a quick hotkey (Command-Option-Control-T) and Todos will simply appear. Todos' job is simple. Todos doesn't do more than it says. Like its definition in Spanish, Todos will show you everything. Todos shows you all your applications in a complete dock. All of us have a plethora of programs, and the Apple dock just can't fit them all. Don't worry. Bring Todos up when you need to get to any of your apps. Click any application in Todos and it will instantly launch. Todos will fade away after application launch. Perhaps you don't want it go go away so fast? Just hold the command key and click. Todos will open the application and remain displayed. Don't forget to stand back and wow at all those cool icons for all of your applications. OS X has beautiful icons, why not see them more?
