the Road Between us__Exploits the proliferation of geo-localized images on Flickr, constructing fictitious journeys from the position of these images on the world-wide territory

These routes will be integrated like real traces. It allows you to choose a place on earth where you want to find a route, it selects a first shot at random. From that image, it then determines the closest photo, and draws the link .

I published an article here on Lifehacker called Tips for Flickr beginners, a quick rundown on how to get started on Flickr. One year later I'm still as big a Flickr fan and user as ever, so it's about time to point out some of the more advanced features

Picasa is by far my favorite photo management software. Flickr is the arguably the best online photo sharing site (Zooomr is a rising competitor). However, one must use the email feature in to upload pictures from Picasa to Flickr (see Jim Rutherford’s

Flickr Photo Comment Tool

I love telling other people about the amazing photos I find on Flickr. It’s also great fun to use photos as Super Emoticons, like when I use RobynAnderson’s laughing cat photo, shown here to the left, to express laughter. However, it got real tiresome

The Scanner Photography Project

Scanner modifications... For my scanner photography work, I use the Canon LIDE 20. The LIDE 20 provides a useful starting point for the hardware development aspects of the scanner camera. Its relative simplicity and durability make it an easy tool to expe

Random Photo Browser_Flickr

I created an alternative to Explore last night called Random. Not necessarily any better than Explore, quality-wise, but no worse, and it doesn't show nearly as many repeats. It works by picking a random Flickr user and then showing you some of their rece
