PUBLIC MARKS with tag utf8

We aggregate the PHP category from del.icio.us on the Planet PHP website. Unfortunately the input from del.icio.us does sometimes contain invalid UTF-8 characters, which leads to errors in the XML parsing. But the following iconv line gets rid of all invalid UTF-8 characters.

Par défaut, l'objet XMLHttpRequest est censé traiter les requêtes avec l'encodage UTF-8, ce qui devrait normalement libérer de toutes les contraintes possibles au niveau des caractères. Cependant, ce n'est pas toujours le cas selon les navigateurs (particulièrement Internet Explorer, malheureusement), et il peut arriver que l'on souhaite utiliser un autre encodage.

Le support Unicode est apparu tardivement au sein de Python, qui à l'origine en reconnaissait que les codes locaux, avec le type str. Aujourd'hui, Python dispose également d'un type unicode, et des méthodes pour passer de l'un à l'autre. Par défaut, une chaîne utilise la locale du fichier traité, mais le support Unicode peut être fait de manière explicite, en ajoute un u en début de chaîne.
