Self taught artist, Frank Duval, aka FKDL, is an adept of collage in all its forms since 1997 : art scotch, paintings, murals, street art… In 2006, he creates a family of 20 black voluptuous silhouettes on the walls of Paris, before taking them to New-York, Berlin, London, Barcelona, Turin…
Once they’re adorned with bits from vintage magazines, his figures, with their characteristic colored backgrounds and their happy body language, make FKDL a unique signature in the universe of street art.

Interrogé, le galeriste un peu déstabilisé me répond que toutes ces œuvres on été achetées au marche aux puce de Clignancourt , que ça présence aujourd’hui n’est absolument pas dans un but mercantile mais de rencontre. Son but, rencontrer les artistes qu’il expose et dont il ne connaît même pas les noms.
Je m’éloigne, j’observe, et je découvre que ces œuvres sont bien en vente….

L'an dernier, le tribunal correctionnel de Dinant avait acquitté des graffeurs poursuivis par la Société nationale des chemins de fer belges, estimant que leurs bombages n'empêchaient pas les trains de rouler et constituaient «une forme d'art». La cour d'appel vient de les condamner, déplorant que le juge se soit «assez curieusement cru autorisé à développer des considérations pseudo-philosophico-culturelles hors de propos».

Great Photoshop Adbusting of a boring advertisement which you see everywhere in Berlin, Germany: Britney Spears, Leona Lewis and Christina Aguilera selling their albums. The adbusting was done by the FTW crew (Mr. Tailon, Baveux Prod., Kone & Epoxy) and consists of overlaying the image with stickers from Adobe Photoshop’s interface panels.
