The Order of Things to Learn Look to the "Resources" section for places to learn about these. 1. HTML. Hypertext Markup Language. Not the same "language" as JavaScript. This is a markup language, meaning it's a bunch of text that is meant to represent some type of structure, in this case, a web page. 2. XML. Extensible Markup Language. In case you didn't realize, HTML itself is a type of "XML". Learning XML is important because many popular websites (YouTube, Facebook, Last.fm) use XML to interact with data. Since you already know HTML by this point, understanding XML should be cake. 3. CSS. Cascading Style Sheets. This is the way HTML (should be) stylized. You'll want to learn this. 4. JavaScript. Learn all the basics: data types, functions, JavaScript's native functions like prompt, alert, etc. 5. The Greasemonkey Extras. Like I said, Greasmonkey == JavaScript, with a lot of extras. I'm pretty sure that textile is the right way to produce content for the web, and that WYSIWYG editors are bad for your website. But editing a large chunk of textile using a textarea is not fun. I usually use Textmate to edit textile content, and wanted to reproduce the same feeling inside a browser.
The best online text editor is currently Bespin and I gave it a try. Unfortunately, the current state of bespin make it pretty difficult to embed the editor itself in a standalone way. Moreover I needed specifics features like 'soft wrap' that is totally required to edit some textile content.
So I took the Bespin way, and started to hack using javascript and HTML5 canvas to create a simple, standalone and totally embeddable textile editor for the web.

Menu dynamique vertical - Description Ce script va vous permettre d'afficher sur votre page un menu dont les catégories s'ouvrent au passage de la souris, affiché de façon verticale. L'édition de ce script est assez longue. Avant de commencer a éditer ce script, ayez bien l'arborescence de votre menu en tête. Sur cette page, vous devez définir les propriétés visuelles de votre menu, puis enregistrer les titres présents dans le menu. Une fois tous les titres enregistrés, cliquez sur "passez a l'étape suivante".
