PUBLIC MARKS with tag "mobile web"

This book is a smorgasbord of mobile information. I purchased and printed the Rough Cuts version as soon as it came out. This book saved me tons of time getting up to speed with the latest information on the mobile world.

In a desktop web application, this would be a simple feat because desktop browsers support position: fixed. In mobile Safari, setting an element to position: fixed does not fix the element relative to the viewport. To achieve fixed elements, we need to override native scrolling and implement our own custom scrolling for the content that we want to be scrollable.

As everybody who's even slightly interested in mobile knows, the creation of the Apple App Store has caused a perfect flurry of activity among everybody else having to do with the mobile web.
