Le firmware en place dans les nouvelles télés Samsung utilisent un noyau linux... Donc possibilité de faire plus de choses que celles initialement prévues par le constructeur. En effet, un projet de firmware alternatif pous les TV Samsung a vu le jour. Baptisé SamyGo, ce firmware permet le partage de fichiers via le réseau local et les protocoles Samba ou NFS. Les disques dur et clés USB externes sont aussi maintenant reconnus, et il est enfin possible de connecter sa télé au réseau wifi de chez soi, avec une clé USB Wifi autre que celle vendue par Samsung. Pour profiter de SamyGo, il suffit donc de réaliser une petite bidouille afin d'activer le support du Telnet dans la TV et ensuite, à vous le flashage en règle avec le nouveau firmware Samy Go ! Le consommateur qui va enfin pouvoir faire de vraies choses avec sa télé, et les constructeurs de TV qui vont peut être s'inspirer des nouveautés de SamyGo afin de les intégrer dans les futures firmware officiels de leur marque !

Although we are not comparing apples to apples, Gentoo did out-perform Ubuntu in almost every test, and sometimes by a fair margin. It does appear that optimizing for a specific CPU can yield a decent performance increase.

Of course, Gentoo offers benefits in other areas with their USE flags and being able to build a highly customized system. The question is whether the amount of time it takes is worth the benefit, and that’s a personal choice.

Porém, isso pode ser resolvido de um jeito muito fácil em apenas 3 comandos! Os mesmos devem ser rodados no Terminal que pode ser encontrado em “Aplicativos -> Acessórios -> Terminal” sudo aptitude install sun-java6-bin sun-java6-fonts sun-java6-jre sun-java6-plugin Isso irá instalar a Maquina Virtual Java da Sun. Logo após isso rode o comando: update-java-alternatives -l O terminal irá imprimir algo parecido com isso: java-6-openjdk 1061 /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk java-6-sun 63 /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun Execute o comando à seguir. sudo update-java-alternatives -s java-6-sun Qualquer problema, verifique se o nome no comando acima é o mesmo que aparece ao rodar o comando update-java-alternatives -l Este guia foi baseado em uma pagina de ajuda do Ubuntu.
