Nantes ouverture des données: Accueil
by Xavier LacotNantes ouvre ses données, une superbe initiative que la plupart des villes devraient suivre ! Très bonen idée !
DataSF - Liberating City Data
by Xavier LacotThe City of San Francisco too, decided to publish several Datasets. DataSF is a central clearinghouse for datasets published by the City & County of San Francisco. The site allows to find datasets in several ways: general search, tags/keywords, categories, and rating. The goal is to improve access to city data through open machine-readable formats.
Anyway, there does not seem to be any SPARQL endpoint or any other semantic expression of the exposed datasets... Maybe in a future iteration?

How to publish Linked Data on the Web
by Xavier LacotA step-by-step guide which covers all the required steps before publishing data on the Web in a semantic way
Open Graph protocol - Développeurs de Facebook
by parmentierf & 2 others (via)The Open Graph protocol enables you to integrate your web pages into the social graph. It is currently designed for web pages representing profiles of real-world things — things like movies, sports teams, celebrities, and restaurants. Once your pages become objects in the graph, users can establish connections to your pages as they do with Facebook Pages. Based on the structured data you provide via the Open Graph protocol, your pages show up richly across Facebook: in user profiles, within search results and in News Feed.
SMOB - Semantic MicrOBlogging
by parmentierf & 1 other (via)SMOB is a Semantic MicroBlogging framework that enables an open, distributed and semantic microblogging experience based on state-of-the-art Semantic Web and Linked Data technologies.
It relies on distributed hubs that communicate each other to exchange microblog posts and subscriptions (i.e. following / followers). Anyone can install his own hub and start following other users, while SMOB also allows cross-posting on other platforms such as Twitter.
dbrec - Intelligent music recommendations for and from the Web of Data
by Xavier Lacotdbrec is a new kind of recommender system, entirely based on Semantic Web and Linked Data technologies, providing recommendations for 39,000 artists from DBpedia (and consequently from Wikipedia) based on the relationships that they hold together, either directly (e.g. having played together) or indirectly (e.g. playing the same genre, sharing a common record label or even being associated in a particular cultural movement).

data viewer directory
by parmentierf & 1 other (via)With more and more raw data available we get a better access to the world knowledges. This access is useless without great visualizations.
A skim-read introduction to linked data
by parmentierf & 1 otherExcellente présentation du Linked Data et des technos du SemWeb (même FRBR est abordé ;-) ) avec, en introduction, un focus très complet sur la différence entre documents et données et une explication complète des principes de la négociation de contenu
SPARCool
by parmentierf (via)SPARCool offers a way to run SPARQL queries about any URI that follows the Linked Data principles by calling a simple URL based on the http://sparcool.net/format/predicate[;l=lang]/URI pattern.
D2RQ - Treating Non-RDF Databases as Virtual RDF Graphs - Chris Bizer
by parmentierf (via)D2RQ is a declarative language to describe mappings between relational database schemata and OWL/RDFS ontologies. The D2RQ Platform uses these mapping to enables applications to access a RDF-view on a non-RDF database through the Jena and Sesame APIs, as well as over the Web via the SPARQL Protocol and as Linked Data.

How to publish Linked Data on the Web?
by Xavier LacotThere is already a lot of structured data accessible on the Web through Web 2.0 APIs such as the eBay, Amazon, Yahoo, and Google Base APIs. Compared to these APIs, Linked Data has the advantage of providing a single, standardized access mechanism instead of relying on diverse interfaces and result formats.
