Last month, the Tribeca Film Institute (TFI) organized a hackathon at CERN as part of the CineGlobe International Film Festival. The event saw filmmakers, artists, and storytellers descend upon Geneva, Switzerland, but also computer programmers, web developers, and videogame designers. The 42 participants from across the globe worked day and night to produce a range of exciting media works. Each team contained at least one member who could code and these skills were put to use to create games, apps, and other interactive experiences.

I Love Your Work is an interactive documentary about the private lives of nine women who make lesbian porn. It consists of 2,202 10-second video clips, taken at five-minute intervals over 10 consecutive days. The full interactive website is limited to just 10 viewers per day, and tickets cost $10 each.

The MIT Open Documentary Lab and the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam’s project, “Moments of Innovation,” documents the process of documentation.  The project spans from the 17,000-year-old cave paintings to modern-day virtual reality.

A traveling visual album that lies in between music and cinema. Evolving from contemporary ideas of field recordings, this film is a quest for the sounds and people of present-day Colombia, and a continuous improvisation by the filmmaker and musicians as we compose and create on the road. A collaboration between French filmmaker Vincent Moon (www.vincentmoon.com) and the Argentinean-Colombian duo Lulacruza (www.lulacruza.com), this project documents a series of travels through Colombia to explore its musical diversity. Exposing the different natural and ethnic regions in Colombia as we collaborate with local folkloric musicians; and making new music inspired by the music and sounds of each place and its people.
