midiGun 1.0 >>> the future of sound control
The "midiGun" is a novel handheld midi controller. This gun shaped interface was especially designed to remotely control real time music softwares, including Ableton LIVE, Traktor DJ).
The "midiGun" simultaneously replaces the classical DJ mixer and the keyboard. Because of its practical shape and easily accessible knobs, buttons and sensors, the “midiGun” is very easy to use.
The user of the “midiGun” can trigger and control sounds and effects on a PC without watching a monitor or using a mouse and keyboard. The controllers and sensors can be individually customized to fit the connected software or to serve individual user preferences. The "midiGun" offers 16 different controllers which can be incorporated in 16 switchable sets. This allows for a total of 256 independent sound and effects controls at the reach of the users fingertips. Additional lighting effects and a visible distance measuring laser beam guarantee the attention of the audience.

Open source, Lego-like computer modules run Linux
A New York-based startup is readying a modular, open source hardware/software system resembling a set of electronic Legos. Bug Labs claims device developers can build "anything" using "Bug," which comprises an ARM11-powered base and various modular add-ons.
