Architecture Lexmark is now featuring the Lexmark Linux Printer Driver Developer's Kit (LLPDDK) to allow the development of custom drivers for Linux. This provides Linux programmer enthusiasts a common printer driver that can be implemented with popular Linux printing subsystem such as the Common Unix Printing System (CUPS) and the traditional lpr/lpd line printer spooling system. It also provides a common scanner driver that can be implemented with the Sane Access Now Easy (SANE) standard.

Developer Zone Ubuntu is developed through an open community process. Anyone with the necessary technical skills can contribute to the development of Ubuntu. If you want to learn, you can find a mentor within the development team to help you along.
