WineHQ .deb packages archive
The WineHQ .deb packages archive
Here you can find older .deb packages for Ubuntu and Debian. These packages used to be hosted in the official APT repository until they were replaced with newer ones. For instructions on using the APT repository to keep updated with current Wine beta packages, visit the WineHQ Ubuntu downloads page.
The -dev packages are only needed if you are compiling Winelib applications. In other words, you probably don't need them. If you need old source packages, you can email the package maintainer.

Linux: Transformando Windows em Linux [Artigo]
Gnome, KDE e WindowMaker

The KDE on Windows Project - Welcome to The KDE on Windows Project
Welcome to The KDE on Windows Project
The KDE on Windows Project is aimed at native porting of the KDE applications to MS Windows. Currently Windows 2000, XP, 2003 and Vista are supported.
The preferred way of installing KDE apps under Windows is the KDE-Installer. See the Download section on the sidebar for more informations.
KDE on Windows is not in the final state, so applications can be unsuitable for day to day use yet.
For some help from the project members join the IRC channel #kde-windows on freenode.
You can join our mailing list kde-windows(@)kde.org for news and announcements.
If you're interested in helping to track some issues, and get some of your favourite KDE apps working correctly, you can start by reading the KDE TechBase documentation.
To get an overview of this project you should enter the main KDE TechBase section.

KDE on Cygwin is the port of Qt and KDE to Windows using Cygwin, the POSIX emulation layer for Windows, and the Cygwin XFree86 server.
We think that KDE is a great desktop and has the opportunity to be a big player in the 'desktop environment' area. One of the main reasons for this is because of the famous Qt library, which is designed to be very platform independent and has already been ported to many operating systems. Hence porting KDE applications from one UNIX derived operating system to another is relatively painless. The one operating system this doesn't hold true for is Windows.

Some work remains to be done in documenting the Cygwin API. In addition to the Cygwin API Reference and information in the FAQ, you may want to check source code file winsup/cygwin.din which lists all of the Cygwin DLL exports.
We have some preliminary docs on how to profile the Cygwin DLL.
Information on building and using DLLs is here.
Also note that there is quite a lot of useful information in the project mailing list archives.

CygwinTM
Cygwin is a set of powerful tools to assist developers in migrating applications from UNIX®/Linux to the Microsoft® Windows®; platform. Cygwin delivers the open source standard Red Hat GNU gcc compiler and gdb debugger on Windows. In addition, it provides for a standard UNIX/Linux development environment on Windows including APIs and command shells. The Cygwin.dll library, included with Cygwin, delivers the interesting subset of UNIX SVR4, BSD, and POSIX APIs to enable quick ports of UNIX/Linux applications to the Windows platform.
What Can Cygwin Do?
With Cygwin, administrators can easily remote login to any PC, fix problems within a UNIX/Linux shell, on any Windows machine and run shell command scripts. Sophisticated shell command scripts can be created with standard shells, sed, awk, etc. Standard Windows command line tools can even be intermixed within the UNIX/Linux shell script environment to administer the Windows system. Over the years, UNIX/Linux system administrators have developed a large toolbox set of management scripts for their UNIX/Linux machines. Cygwin provides the ability to continue using these scripts on Windows machines.
Why Use Cygwin?
One of the largest problems developers face today is supporting their applications on disparate platforms. Windows workstations continue to be added to an environment already populated by Linux and other UNIX-based Operating Systems. Using Cygwin, developers can manage heterogeneous environments in a consistent, efficient way. Cygwin brings a standard UNIX/Linux shell environment, including many of its most useful commands to the Windows platform, so IT managers can effectively deploy trained staff, and leverage existing investments in UNIX/Linux source code and shell scripts.
The Cygwin Contract
A Cygwin Contract provides customers with:
* The ability to distribute customer's applications without being bound by the GPL. Therefore, customers are not required to provide their applications in open source code form.
* A license to distribute unlimited quantities of Cygwin libraries with customer's applications.
* A robust set of tools for easily migrating applications from UNIX/Linux to Windows.
* The latest Pentium optimized compiler tools.
