ask students what they think of this approach to defining the CoP? would it be useful to help peope conceptualize the cop? to orient themselves? how do you represent social structures

Another example of a job posting relating to the creating of a CoP: "Through the South-East Asia (SEA) Change project, Pact seeks to establish an active Southeast Asia community of practice (COP) for monitoring and evaluation of climate change interventions in which members innovate and apply measurement approaches, methods and tools resulting in demonstrable solutions to climate change. "

I included this because of the mention of CoP in the job description: " In addition, the process analyst will contribute to the development of modelling standards and to the development of a processmodelling community of practice within the university." Who says only KM folks need to know about CoPs!

News item mentions a Multicultural Teaching Community of Practice created at Indiana University that "was created several years ago when several faculty members raised concerns about how to best reach all students on the IUPUI Campus"

Seems to center on conferences, but the older CoP pages mention a mailing list, etc...
