O Kokar é um CD que contém um cache dos arquivos de instalação dos programas instaláveis através dos ícones mágicos. Você pode instalar o CD do Kokar através do Painel de Controle do Kurumin, dentro da opção Ícones Mágicos > Instalar ou Gerar o CD do Kokar Os arquivos do kokar são copiados para a pasta /packages e /var/cache/apt/arquives do sistema, e podem ser deletados depois se desejado, usando a opção "Remover" do menu de instalação. A instalação consome cerca de 700 MB de espaço no HD. Uma vez instalado o Kokar, o sistema procura os arquivos de instalação no cache instalado, ao invés de tentar baixar os arquivos da net. Para instalar a maioria dos ícones mágicos, não precisa estar nem conectado, pois ao instalar o Kokar, todos os pacotes necessários já são copiados para seu HD. O Kokar contém os arquivos necessários para a instalação de quase todos os ícones mágicos, com excessão de alguns dos Jogos e dos arquivos de instalação do LTSP (Kurumin Terminal Server). O Kokar continua sendo usado até que você clique na opção "Atualizar Lista de pacotes do Apt-Get" (que roda o comando "apt-get update"). Ao fazer isso, o sistema volta a baixar as versões mais recentes dos programas, ao invés de instalá-los a partir do cache. Se por acaso você acionar a opção por engano, basta reinstalar o Kokar

What is grml? grml is a bootable CD (Live-CD) originally based on Knoppix and nowadays based on Debian. grml includes a collection of GNU/Linux software especially for users of texttools and system administrators. grml provides automatic hardware detection. You can use grml (for example) as a rescue system, for analyzing systems/networks or as a working environment. It is not necessary to install anything to a harddisk; you don't even need a harddisk to run it. Due to on-the-fly decompression grml includes about 2.1 GiB of software and documentation on the CD.
