Parker’s record steamrolls Browns
On a freezing night in Pittsburgh, Parker carried the workload, lugging the ball 32 times to go over 1,000-yards rushing for the second consecutive season, his final tally breaking the franchise single-game record of 218 yards set by John Fuqua in 1970.
Parker, who also scored a touchdown, becomes the first running back in Steelers history to have two 200 yard rushing games in his career.
He ran for 213 yards in a home game against the New Orleans Saints on Nov. 12.
“It is a record I got and hopefully I’m going to keep this going,” Parker told a sidelines reporter after the game. “You know anything can happen (making the playoffs), we just got to keep fighting and see what happens.”
