Computrace LoJack for Laptops, a software-based theft recovery service, is designed to track, locate, and recover stolen computers and protect users’ data. LoJack for Laptops is based on the Computrace Agent software that is embedded into the BIOS firmware of computers. Some PC makers, such as Dell, optionally embed the Agent into laptops at the factory and offers LoJack service to laptop buyers. However, if you purchase LoJack separately, you can install the Agent yourself.
