Jetspeed is an Open Source implementation of an Enterprise Information Portal, using Java and XML. A portal makes network resources (applications, databases and so forth) available to end-users. The user can access the portal via a web browser, WAP-phone, pager or any other device. Jetspeed acts as the central hub where information from multiple sources are made available in an easy to use manner.

Ce cours s'adresse à toute personne ayant une expérience de la programmation. Son objectif est d'étudier les concepts fournis par les langages de programmation orientés objet. Les langages supports sont Java et Ocaml. Ces deux langages sont d'abord présentés d'une façon informelle à partir d'exemples de façon d'apprécier les pouvoirs expressifs de ces langages. Ensuite, les traits objets sont étudiés d'une façon plus approfondie. En particulier, l'accent est mis sur le traitement du typage en Java et en Ocaml. Ce cours se termine par l'utilisation des traits objets dans les méthodes de conception des logiciels et des spécifications.
