作为一个不设门槛的媒体，博客使普通人拥有了话语权，实现了由信息接受者向信息传播者的角色转换。那么，作为一种新媒体，博客新闻在诸媒体中充当什么样的角色呢？笔者以为，可以从博客新闻内容和形式的特点、博客与其他媒体之间的相互作用和关系着手探讨。

北京网络新闻信息评议会召开本年度第六次会议，针对博客目前存在的问题进行评议。 目前博客的不良行为主要有以下几种：传播淫秽信息、发布虚假信息、故意制造事端、冒名开设博客、跟贴信息扰乱他人博客。评议会分析认为，造成上述情况的原因，一是少数博客作者疏于自律，缺乏社会责任感，甚至挑战社会信守和尊重的价值观道德观，肆意地展现假、恶、丑；二是由于竞争激烈，博客服务提供商出于流量、排名、盈利等压力，以“个人言论自行负责”为借口，对博客发表的内容疏于监管，更有甚者将低俗恶俗、哗众取宠的博客文章进行推荐，有意进行炒作。 有关管理机构明确表态，对于严重违法违规的博客服务提供商和博客作者，将依法给予处理。
