Andy Adams, the creative juice behind the online magazine Flak Photo recently contacted me about a “crowd-sourced” blog posting relating to photobooks, in conjunction with Resolve, the Livebooks blog. Was I game in posting something on my own blog? Sure. I’m always game for a discussion about photobooks.

Interactive video has a long way to go, but Netherlands based yellowBird and their 360 degree offering might help move it along. We, as a species, watch a lot of vids. Buckets full, really. And for the most part, we're comfortable pressing play and being spoon-fed the story. This, at least in part, explains the lukewarm reception - commercially speaking - of interactive films. Most of the 'interactivity' centers on controlling the story.

The web is abuzz over a project over at Stanford that aims to revolutionize how we think about photography by building an open source camera (dubbed Frankencamera). That’s right… Open. Source. Camera. While you try to wrap your mind around this new paradigm, I’ll point out of a few of the important aspects of the project and throw in some of my thoughts on it.

De nos jours l'application de l'huile sainte ça se fait avec Photoshop. Entre la photographie de Florence Aubenas, journaliste à Libération, et la Florence iconique, l'onction photoshopique est assez subtile.
