The Stardust Hotel and Casino will be imploded tonight sometime after midnight Pacific Time tonight. Those clearly outdated in today's Vegas glitz and glamour, the hotel had a colorful and significant history including the popularizing of sports betting in Nevada. The Prophet looks at what the Stardust meant to the city of Las Vegas and the gambling industry.
