The V&A and PlayStation present Volume Created by United Visual Artists and one point six A luminous interactive installation has transformed the V&A's John Madejski Garden this winter. Volume is a sculpture of light and sound - an array of light columns positioned dramatically in the centre of the garden.

Playing with form and function, these are prototypes created over the years that each take an idea of visual communication (light) and put it into controlled structure/form. Ranging from art-theory to product-ready, the technologies and ideas developed here can be integrated for use in Space Design. Equally, the technologies created for retail environments can be scaled down as a Product.

Cette méthode pour générer des nombres pseudo-aléatoires est basée sur les registres à décalage à rétroaction linéaire (Linear Feedback Shift Register en anglais). L'idée est de commencer avec un registre rempli arbitrairement avec des 0 et des 1, puis de décaler cette suite d'un cran vers la droite.

Stepan brings another slick little circuit to our little abode of LED information: a fire-like flicker driver for LEDs! Personally I would think a few of these driving an array of red, orange, and yellow LEDs would be AWESOME... Circuit makes an LED flicker/shimmer like a FIRE! The circuit works wonderfully and yields true coin-toss-randomness when built as shown at this page.
