突如其來的汶川震災發生後，舉國上下愛心如潮。各地人民和單位力所能及地紛紛向災區捐款捐物甚至捐血，然而令人意想不到是連乞討的老人也加入到捐贈的隊伍中來了。《現代快報》5月16日消息：愛心捐贈仍在繼續，昨天，最讓人感動的捐贈者應該是這位乞討老人，他在捐了5元後，又找遍身上的零錢，特地到銀行兌換了一張百元現鈔，放進了募捐箱。

地震剛開始的那一天，我還無知得不知道7.8級的地震對于一個人口稠密的地區來說意味著什么，上網碰到川外的同學還開了一些玩笑，等到幾天之后隨著新聞的陸續報道，我感到死亡的人數已經遠遠的超過了我的天真想法，而這些死亡人數據四川的同學說還是有很大水分的，真實的死亡人數要多得多，估計最后結果是五萬人左右。天哪，五萬人是什么概念！！！有多少個家庭將面臨家破人亡妻離子散的境地？又有多少孩子將在人生之路的開始便失去父親失去母親？我無法想象。
