What Matters 2 US

by gregg
In this increasingly fast-paced world, sometimes we need to slow down and share our lives with each other. Our stories … of what matters to us.

To This Day Project

by gregg
To This Day Project is a project based on a spoken word poem written by Shane Koyczan called “To This Day”, to further explore the profound and lasting impact that bullying can have on an individual. Schools and families are in desperate need of proper tools to confront this problem. We can give them a starting point… A message that will have a far reaching and long lasting effect in confronting bullying. Animators and motion artists brought their unique styles to 20 second segments that will thread into one fluid voice. This collaborative volunteer effort will demonstrate what a community of caring individuals are capable of when they come together.

Le Miroir

by gregg

If you repeat the word 'fly' for long enough it sounds like you're saying 'life'. This is of no help to Peter. His answers lie in the brain of a beetle.

This is my home

by gregg
On an unseasonably warm November night in Manhattan on our way to get ice cream, we stumbled upon what appeared to be a vintage shop, brightly lit display window and all. As we began to walk in, a man sitting out front warned us that we were welcome to explore, but nothing inside was for sale. Our interests piqued, we began to browse through the collections the man out front had built throughout his life. This is a story of a man and his home.

Montblanc - The beauty of a second

by gregg
Un contest organisé par la marque Mont-Blanc The Beauty of a Second, proposant aux candidats d’envoyer des vidéos d’une seconde qui pourraient selon-eux exprimer la beauté.

Viewers can interact with two actors and hear their train of thoughts either simultaneously or separately, depending on how they move the dial. Together it truly does make for a jumbled audio track, but I really like this idea of enabling users to alter the storyline by providing synced but separate audio tracks.

David OReilly Animation – PSS - Please Say Something - Internet turbodrama

by gregg & 1 other
PSS is a 10 minute short concerning a troubled relationship between a Cat and Mouse set in the distant Future. The final film was completed in January 2009 and contains 23 episodes of exactly 25 seconds each. Images from it can be seen on the Flickr Page. The film won the Golden Bear for best short at the 2009 Berlinale.

YouTube - SIGNS

by gregg
I really love this short film (12 minutes long) Signs by Australian director Patrick Hughes. It will be presented in the upcoming Schweppes Short Film Festival. The film has no dialog between the two main characters, just a soundtrack. Communication is done by signs, facial expressions and scrabbles on papers. The movie is pretty emotional, depressing and sweet at the same time. I highly recommend you watch it.
