Cartoons of Yesterday Revived for a New Television Audience

(via)
I love nostalgia and it appears the Cartoon Network and Nicktoons are going to feed my addition. These two toon networks will be offering newer (and probably hipper) versions of two cartoon series from my youth — Speed Racer and Transformers.

Instead of Manhattan, The Muppets To Take the Disney Channel

(via)
As a parent of toddlers, I watch a lot of the Disney Channel. It’s got some great original shows that are wonderful for toddler development. And soon it’ll be home to Jim Henson’s The Muppets.

‘Army Wives’ learns that ‘The Art of Separation’ is hard

(via)
he third episode of Army Wives touches on the hardest part of being part of a military family in ‘The Art of Separation.” Whoever said that absence makes the heart grows fonder obviously wasn’t a member of the military community. This installment covered not only the impact of deployment during the separation, but also the effect on family life both before and after.

Sign Up with 'Army Wives' for Drama this Summer

(via)
Being a Navy brat, I originally tuned into Lifetime’s Army Wives for the premise — family life on an Army post — and for the a cast that included Kim Delaney (NYPD Blue), Catherine Bell (JAG), and Brigid Brannagh (Angel), but I’ll be returning for the interesting characters and the captivating storyline. You can tell that the show is from the producers of Grey’s Anatomy, because it has a similar formula — ensemble cast, a sudsy plot and complicated characters drawn together by circumstances. Like Grey, the cast is both easy on the eyes and diverse – not just by race, but economical and social backgrounds.

Five Shows Worth Catching in Reruns the Summer

(via)
Since the summer months are filled with reruns on television, you might as well take advantage of the repeats to try out some existing shows that you didn’t get a chance to watch this year. Here are shows I recommend checking out this summer if you aren’t already watching

Cable Shows Offer Interesting Summer TV Fare

(via)
While network television will inundate you this summer with reruns (with a few exceptions) and more cheaply produced reality shows, cable stations are answering viewers demand for better choices with summer fare that rival some prime season offerings. So after a day of frolicking in the great outdoors enjoying the summer sun, cool off with these summer shows.

'Traveler' makes you wonder how well you really know your friends

(via)
Who is Will Traveler? That is the #1 question on the new ABC summer series Traveler, a high-action drama about three graduate students on a cross-country summer adventure before entering the working world. But things quickly go awry in the first leg of the trip leaving two of the friends on the run and the third’s fate (and motives) in question.

Jordin sparkles as the 2007 American Idol

(via)
After 100,000 auditions in seven cities, 49 hours of television, 609 million votes and two hours of fluff, America finally learned that the 17-year-old from Glendale, Arizona with the golden voice is the 2007 American Idol. Jordin Sparks now takes her place among the elite known as Idols.

Jordin wipes the floor with Blake on 'American Idol' finale

(via)
Going into the first half of the American Idol season finale, I thought the finale was going to be like comparing apples and oranges. Songstress Jordin Sparks has the vocals while beatboxing Blake Lewis has won the crowd over with performances. However, Jordin, as Simon Cowell put it, wiped the floor with Blake with the final song and, unless the voters are deaf, dumb and blind, sealed her victory.

'Heroes' finale not nearly as explosive as expected

(via)
I’ve been prepping myself all week to temper my expectations for the season finale of Heroes. Seriously, the freshman series has been building for an explosive finale all season long. How was it every going to live up to hype? Well, I’m glad I did. While I think that the season ender was a solid episode, it in no way blew me away. There were no surprise revelations like the Numbers finale. It wasn’t even as powerful of an episode as Supernatural’s cliffhanger.

'Grey's Anatomy' season finale not all happy endings

(via)
Although Grey’s Anatomy season finale does a nice job of wrapping the various storyline from this season, not all the endings were happy. I’ll admit to being an optimist that likes happily ever afters, even if they are predictable. However, I do also appreciate a good story twist despite a sad ending. Nevertheless, Grey seemed to leave his characters with a large number of disappointments this season.

The War Has Just Began on 'Supernatural'

(via)
Ding, dong, the demon is dead. In the Supernatural second season finale, Dean (Jensen Ackles) finale puts a bullet in the heart of the elusive yellow-eyed demon (Fredric Lehne) that killed his parents. But at what costs?

Lana Lang dies in 'Smallville' finale, or did she?

(via)
In the season finale of Smallville, Clark Kent (Tom Welling) loses his high school sweetheart when Lana Lang Luthor’s (Kristin Kreuk) car exploded in a blaze of glory. Did Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum) murder his wife because she threatened to leave? Or did she fake her own death?

'Bones' Season Finale Full of Surprises

(via)
The season finale of Bones was a busy one for Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) and his partner Dr. Temperance “Bones” Brennan (Emily Deschanel). Not only did they solve the unusual, but bittersweet murder of Chelsea Cole, a victim of Werner’s Syndrome, the yprepared for their honorary roles as maid of honor and best man at Angela’s (Michaela Conlin) and Hodgins’ (T.J. Thyne) wedding.

'American Idol' sent home its best when it said bye to Melinda Doolittle

(via)
Simon Cowell was visibly disappointed when results of the semifinals were announced on American Idol Wednesday. Melinda Doolittle, the most consistent and versatile contestant this season, has been sent home.

Melinda Doolittle leads the Top 3 in the final weeks of 'American Idol'

(via)
The competition remains close as the Top 3 head into the final weeks of American Idol. Although all three put in outstanding performances Tuesday night, I think Melinda Doolittle edged out her fellow contenders slightly with her versatility and consistency. Down to just three finalists, American Idol altered the format of Tuesday’s competition slightly. Each competitor sang three songs this week — a song selected for them by one of the judges, a song picked by the producers and finally, a song of their choice. This variation offered an interesting twist to Week 11.
