Eu configurei a banda larga usando o pppoeconf, com o comando: sudo pppoeconf Só que no meu caso a banda larga tinha que ser configurada toda a vez que eu reiniciava. A solução eu achei neste tópico: http://ubuntu.linuxval.org/smf/index.php?topic=4731.0 Nele explicam que você deve substituir o conteúdo do arquivo intefaces pelo que está no tópico. Depois disso tudo funciona perfeitamente.

Fiz a instalação com as versões amd64 e i386 e o problema se repete. Quando volta não consigo mais a conexão da internet. Quando da intalação do pppoeconf pedi conexão no inicio de cada seção. Não funciona o pon dsl-provider.
