This is a screencast of a Processing sketch I developed called TypeStar. It’s basically a karaoke machine that renders lyrics in realtime according to a number of preset visualization schemes. It was originally created for a project in my Type in Motion class which required students to create a kinetic type animation for the Busy Bee scene from the movie Best in Show. I decided that rather than create yet another kinetic type piece, I would write a kinetic type engine.

Mark thought it would be fun to punch the Figures in the face at 1000fps. This clip has gone on to be a true viral smash hit seen by millions online and listed as one of MySpace's Top 10 viral videos. // slowmotion boxing boxe

Ce n'était qu'une question de temps avant que quelqu'un réalise que c'était là plus grande bibliothèque de samples du monde. Kutiman, un multi-instrumentiste de Tel Aviv auteur d'un album funky passé relativement inaperçu en 2008, aura été le premier. Le premier en tout cas à produire l'équivalent d'un album en coupant, collant, démontant et remontant des dizaines et des dizaines de vidéos d'amateurs de Youtube.

one take impromptu film made in Tokyo by Dennis Wheatley and Stefan McClean. We were sitting in this sushi bar pondering how best to set up a camera to film things all by itself whilst we were in Tokyo. Take our hands out of the equation... let the camera have its own journey. I'd taken a cannibalised record turntable with me from the UK with the idea of filming slow panoramas but it was painfully bumpy and stopped every minute. Then we had our eureka moment and filmed this. A few years later I was working on a piece of music and married the two together. The music is all about that feeling when you're half asleep in the sun.. the ambiance of foreign voices becomes a lullaby to dream away.

On ne voit pas l'essentiel, c'est vrai. On pourrait penser que c'est dommage, mais The BPA Toe Jam Feat. David Byrne & Dizzee Rascal (c'est le nom complet des artistes qui l'ont réalisé) en ont fait une force !

California-based young production company Logan got huge attention for the first time with their iPod spot for TV they created about two years ago. This very striking TV ad series which simply makes you want to dance certainly contributed immensly to the product’s huge success. But what else is LOGAN up to? PingMag asked founders Alexei and Ben about their other works and recent activities.

Here's a technicolor motion graphics street adventure. And it's for free. Well, almost... "Information Contraband sees Money Mark traversing through a color saturated city of huge movie posters: slinky babes from huge Technicolor billboards slap the singer across his face on his jaunt; dudes with machetes and swords twist and turn in jungle terrain and martial arts maestros strut their stuff while Money Mark suavely sucks on a cigarette."

Pris en une seule séquence, le film a été tourné en live le 30 juin dernier, lors de l’ouverture du festival Nederclips du Stedelijk Museum’s-Hertogenbosch et tourné à l’aide d’une équipe de professionnels du trampoline.

Un montage cut avec des bouts de Motor Psycho de Russ Meyer, des morceaux de Psycho de Alfred Hitchcock, des miettes de Bande à part de Jean-Luc Godard saupoudré de Touch of Evil d'Orson Welles, le tout sur fond de Nirvana.
