PUBLIC MARKS from rmaltete with tags cvs & mac

With this version I removed two dependencies from the build in order to simplify it. I removed support for gettext which was used to provide localized messages. Berkeley DB support is also no longer included. You cannot use this version of my binaries to access or serve local bdb-based repositories. But you can convert to a supported fsfs-based repository by following the instructions in the Migrating a Repository section of the Subversion book.
