Introduction

This geography resource pack is intended to develop pupils' ability to recognise different directions. It centres on the four main points of the compass and contains teacher-led whiteboard activities for developing navigation and direction-following skills.

Fairty Tale Unit: Reading and Writing

This activity pack introduces pupils to two traditional fairy tales, Jack and the Beanstalk and The Gingerbread Man. Pupils read through the stories with the teacher and then complete a series of activities that describe characters, sequence events and discuss what is needed for good beginnings, middles and endings when writing stories.

Rhyming Unit

This resource pack aims to introduce pupils to rhyming patterns using familiar poems and rhymes. This is a whole class activity using a projector.
