by srcmax
This morning we became aware of a Twitter campaign run from the website http://fixoutlook.org. This campaign is intended to provide Microsoft with feedback about our decision to continue to use Microsoft Word for composing and displaying e-mail in the upcoming release of Microsoft Outlook 2010. The Email Standards Project, which developed the website that promotes the current Twitter campaign, is backed by the maker of “email marketing campaign” software.

Larry Masinter on public-html (26-05-2009)

by tehu

The document is currently over 930 pages when printed "letter" size. The first complaint I get from implementors wanting to review the specification is that it is unreviewable: too long, to complex, too difficult to review individual sections, too difficult to find the definition of terms, or where things are used.

L. Masinter, J. Downdell, Matt May (ex W3C) - ces jours-ci, le front anti-html5 vient d'adobe.

jd/adobe: Building upon untested assumptions

by tehu

by srcmax (via)

the cost of monoculture - Gen Kanai weblog

by karlcow

What would you say if I told you that there was a nation that was at the forefront of technology, an early adopter of ecommerce, leading the world in 3G mobile adoption, in wireless broadband, in wired broadband adoption, as well as in citizen-driven media. Sounds like an amazing place, right? Technology utopia?

html 5 for authors!

by karlcow

The current spec is to nerdy written to be understandable by most authors. If the WAHTWG does really care about HTML 5 either the spec needs to be changed (i believe its possible, but don’t now if its a good idea regarding overhead) or they need to create 2 documents, one for authors, one for implementers.
