Toxiclibs was originally written by Karsten Schmidt for Java and Processing and is being ported to javascript by Kyle Phillips.
Toxiclibs.js works great with Canvas, SVG or any DOM element. Examples below pair with such fine libraries as: Processing.js, Three.js, or Raphael.js for SVG.

It is one of our main goals to expand the methodologies of design and to educate our students in developing a set of individual, unique styles and aesthetics.
While Adobe InDesign on the one hand is offering a valuable set of pre-defined, common solutions for layout and design problems, a programming language on the other hand allows for questioning the set of available methods and for extending it by creating new tools.

I made these videos using Processing, a Java-based language, to make these data visualization videos of welovelocal’s London reviews over time. They span from the start of welovelocal to January 29th, 2008. The colour of each dot represents the rating of each review with red being 1 star and green being 5 stars.
very nice visualizations of rating of the time, mostly green though.
