John Resig - Google Groups is Dead

by night.kame & 1 other

When you create a public group everything will go well for a couple days, at most. Without fail an onslaught of spam will start to come through your group - I've even seen it happen within the first day. It happens to every group and doesn't matter how well you advertise it (or try to hide it). After having watched Google Groups for as long as I have I can only assume that there exists no spam filtering whatsoever. Or, if there is any, it's the most grossly incompetent spam filter I've ever seen.

I actively stayed away from Python, mainly because I had heard about the forced indentation and having had bad experiences with Fortran before. But within two weeks after being forced to use Python I was sold.

quiz: find your decoration style

by blackgoldfish (via)
"FUNKY MODERN Your modern and lively sense of style is perfect for today's easy living, and just about suits any budget. Chances are that some of your favourite things were picked up at a car boot sale, in a market while on holiday, or handed down through the family. At the same time, you might have saved (or be saving) for the perfect Eames chair or Mies sofa, a classic that never goes out of style and something you will take with you from one home to the next." "Fresh, fun and easy to live with, your home is perfect for how you live your life. "

Kijû Yoshida, L’intégrale - 2 (dvd)

by karlcow

by schmul.net
