Intermittently, Photoshop will start taking EXTRAORDINARY amounts of time to open files, regardless of their size. This problem has persisted from CS2 to CS3, and from a PowerPC to an Intel Mac. The problem is intermittent, seeming to go in long cycles (a few months at a clip), but when it strikes, a 2k file -- or a 100mb one, curiously -- will take upwards of two minutes to open. Also curiously, an open file can be saved and saved again without any performance hit. But saving a new file creates the lag as well, especially loathsome if you're using "Save for Web" a lot.

How to Use Flash Video (FLV) Cue Points

Video cue points can be used for all sorts of things in Flash. Typical uses involve triggering other activity, such as peripheral movie clips whose animations enhance the video content, or triggering text, such as closed captions. I’ve seen some developers in the Adobe forums even use a cue point to signal that a video clip has reached its end. Strictly speaking, cue points aren’t needed for that last goal (see “How to Determine the Completion of a Flash Video (FLV) File”), but it’s certainly a possible way to go.

Pas facile d’imprimer correctement une page Web. Le contenu est souvent tronqué à la marge de droite ou le format d’origine n’est pas respecté. Très souvent on se retrouve avec un élément orphelin sur une page presque blanche. Le gratuiciel HP Smart Web Printing a été créé exactement pour remédier à ces problèmes. Une fois installé, le gratuiciel place un bouton dans la barre d’outils d’Internet Explorer ou de Firefox. Il suffit alors de cliquer sur le bouton puis de sélectionner le contenu. Après la sélection, le logiciel vous offrira le choix entre l’impression immédiate ou la sauvegarde sous forme de clip. Le plus astucieux est l’option « Modifier les clips » qui permet de les assembler pour les mettre en page.
