Abstract Brands are important in the consumer market. They are the interface between consumers and the company, and consumers may develop loyalty to brands. This study proposes that trust in a brand is important and is a key factor in the development of brand loyalty. Factors hypothesized to influence trust in a brand include a number of brand characteristics, company characteristics and consumer-brand characteristics. Respondents representing a broad spectrum of Singapore consumers were surveyed. The findings reveal that brand characteristics are relatively more important in their effects on a consumer's trust in a brand. The results also show that trust in a brand is positively related to brand loyalty. Marketers should, therefore, take careful consideration of brand factors in the development of trust in a brand.

The Indian Markets are falling down and the only worthy stocks in the mid cap category and small cap category are getting the profits as the large caps already booked lot of profits in the past few months.
Ispat industries market cap is still just over 4K crore and is growing very rapidly. It has ended over rs 36 in the last week and ended positively even though the sensex and nifty are ended negatively.
This company is picking up very nicely in the recent two years and has entered into the profit zone. It has recorded a net profit of rs 13.54 crore in the quarter September which is rs 5 crore or 60% more than the profit in the last quarter.

Baptists call for public school support

A group of Baptist leaders called on its members Friday to "speak positively about public education" in response to a conservative movement to pull Baptist children out of public schools.
Fifty-six pastors and organizational leaders - some from the conservative Southern Baptist Convention and others from the more moderate Cooperative Baptist Fellowship - signed a letter supporting public schools.
'Code of conduct' threatens free speech

Faculty at the University of Prince Edward Island have expressed concern over the erosion of free speech on campus, following the confiscation last month of the student newspaper that had reprinted the notorious Danish cartoons. The Post ran several letters from professors, criticizing this action.
But things may get worse. The university administration is currently in negotiations with the Faculty Association over a new collective agreement, and a strike seems imminent. They are particularly insistent that the new contract include a "Code of Conduct" that would obligate the faculty to "act in a manner that will contribute positively to the overall vision, mission and reputation" of UPEI.
