by ericpaul (via)
Direct Note Access is a technology that makes the impossible possible: for the first time in audio recording history you can identify and edit individual notes within polyphonic audio material. The unique access that Melodyne affords to pitch, timing, note lengths and other parameters of melodic notes will now also be afforded to individual notes within chords.

A11 vs Football

by sbrothier (via)
On July 21, 1969, Neil Armstrong became the first human to walk on the moon. He didn’t moonwalk alone – ‘Buzz’ Aldrin joined him on the surface – and he didn’t walk far. After travelling hundreds of thousands of kilometers, the landing crew of the Apollo 11 lunar mission barely covered an area the size of a football pitch. Many thanks to John Mark Boling for sending in this extremely cool map, found at this page of the NASA history division website.

Arrêt sur images - Avis de gros temps sur Wikipedia

by srcmax (via)

Welcome to PhoneBusters

by nikkie
Fraudulent cheques are used in a variety of scams such as advance fee letter fraud, overpayment and prize pitch to name a few. Overpayment scams is the type of fraud where the person receiving the cheque is actually owed money for goods sold. The seller receives a counterfeit cashier's cheque personal cheque or corporate cheque from the “purchaser” in an amount in excess of the amount owed; is asked to deposit the cheque and wire the excess funds immediately back to the sender/purchaser or the purchaser's agent or shipper; and, the deposited cashier's cheque is subsequently returned as counterfeit and charged back to the seller's account.

Windows Msn Live Messenger - on screen display

by kooolman
"Ce complément gratuit active le mode «On Screen Display» pour Windows Live Messenger. Cette fonctionnalité vous permet de lire tous les messages reçus directement sur l'écran, sans avoir à ouvrir la moindre fenêtre de conversation ! Vous pouvez ainsi répondre un peu plus tard à vos contacts, tout en restant informé de ce qu'ils disent !" Tout est dit dans ce pitch. Je l'ai testé et c'est terrib'.

Vator.TV - index

by cyberien & 2 others
Vator.TV is a place where entrepreneurs can share their ideas with the rest of the world through video. We provide a platform for innovators in all fields of industry and from around the world to be showcased, benefiting from the opportunity to reach others that might contribute to their success. The people behind any company are the main reasons why a company succeeds, fails, or receives funding. The video elevator pitch enables people to introduce themselves and their team in a personal way and to reach a worldwide audience. The video pitch is also a more powerful means for entrepreneurs to demonstrate their business which can often be based on abstract concepts. We hope that the personal stories behind the ideas will not only entertain the audience but also encourage aspiring entrepreneurs to take that leap of faith. We also invite entrepreneurs to share stories about their previous business ventures or provide updates about new developments, partnerships, services or products of their companies. Our viewer rating system allows users to receive feedback on their own ideas as well as to provide feedback to others. Even if you're not sharing your pitches we welcome your industry expertise (in video or text), votes and comments about a company's prospects.

Is Putin Performing a 'Crazy Ivan'? A New Cold War Stirs

by OPINIONIST
In recent months Putin’s rhetoric against the U.S. - supported by his notion of the U.S.’s overbearing, hegemonic, influence in global affairs - has risen to a near fever pitch. Is this just good old fashioned Soviet paranoia? After all, Vladimir Putin is a product of the Soviet KGB - as an intelligence officer at the highest point of the Cold War.
