Reducing Canada’s immigration backlog

by karlcow

The changes mean that those who submitted an application before February 27, 2008, would continue to be processed under the current system. However, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) would have greater flexibility in processing new applications, especially from skilled workers. Anyone would still be able to apply, but CIC would no longer be required to process all new skilled worker applications. Under the proposed changes, the Minister would have the authority to issue instructions to immigration officers on the processing of applications, including in relation to the jobs available in Canada, so that people with those skills and experience can be brought to Canada more quickly. However, as is the case now, the decisions on individual applications would still be made by CIC immigration officers. The Minister cannot reverse these decisions.

Council Maladministration and Injustice

by Gallup & 1 other
Misconduct by Councils, when it occurs, harms not only the community they are elected to serve but the wider reputation of government as a whole across the entire country. We all should expect Councils to uphold the highest standards of integrity and carry out all its duties. Most wrongdoing stems from officers that are employed to uphold the Council Constitutions. It is these officers who have no fear of retribution from the employer they serve.

US Officers planned the Beit Hanoun Massacre

by sabbah
If you find the images in this article revolting, like me, think of the people in Palestine see such images on a daily basis not as pictures but live and anywhere they go, and that this genocide is supported equally by ALL western countries, the EU and the UN. Your taxes are very probably financing what you see here. Speak with your politicians if you do not like what you see. When the the psychopaths and moral degenerates who commit these acts with the help of your governments stop commiting them, I (and others) will stop publishing these images.

'Sensitivity training' for U.S. troops in Iraq

by jasontromm
While many U.S. troops in Iraq are bracing for an increase in terrorist attacks coinciding with the Islamic holy month, other soldiers, including officers, are cringing at new requirements that include "sensitivity classes" on how to "understand Ramadan and the Islamic culture." ()() As a former member of the U.S. Army reserve, I can tell you this is complete bullshit. When I served under the first President Bush, we didn't worry about crap like this. It won't make our soldiers any safer!

Police Shooting

by PixelNurse
I've been following the story recently of the shooting of two female police officers in Bradford. Sadly one of the officers who was shot, Pc Sharon Beshenivsky, died in the incident. Of course this is horrific, the officer who died was a mother of five and one cannot help but dwell on the fact that five children will now grow up without their mother. However, as disturbing as the incident itself is the reaction by the police force and the media. Let me explain...
