If you're interested in giving the new parser a try (it's doubtful that you'll see many obvious changes - but any help in hunting down bugs would be appreciated) you can download a nightly of Firefox, open about:config, and set html5.enable to true.

They are reporting that Firefox 3 is now faster than Safari 3, and is close to WebKit nightly in certain benchmarks. I can just picture Steve coming down on people saying “we market this as the fastest browser on the planet!” which is tough, as noone stays the fastest for ever. It is a race, and I am sure that WebKit and Firefox will be switching spots a lot in recently years.

The merge of the Apple Windows WebKit port has finished. We have updated the build instructions on the web site. Those developers interested in building the source should start here. We have also updated our nightly builds web site to include nightlies for both OS X and Windows. You can download a nightly here. Bugzilla is also open for business, so start reporting those WebKit bugs!

Last year we tested four of the most popular browsers and found that OmniWeb (which uses a tweaked version of Apple’s WebCore engine) and the WebKit nightly build more or less tied on the test suite.
