Freevo is an open source HTPC media centre software integrating PVR / DVR funtionality along with music, video, gaming, home automation and more. It is written in python and uses existing popular software such as mplayer, xine and vlc. Primarily aimed at the Linux platform it is also possible to run on OSX and for the determined on Windows. It is the main mythtv alternative.

Online content pirating, increased competition, a flooded market, the economic crisis, and a series of federal obscenity indictments have completely transformed the business of making adult movies. Consumers are no longer interested in paying for what they can get online for free. Across the board, those I spoke to reported profits have fallen by an estimated 30 to 50 percent.

I am a Dutch paper engineer, based in Arnhem, and my work mainly focuses on the creation of papertoys. I either create completely new characters from scratch or I transform existing characters into papermodels. My speciality is one-piece papertoys, models that consist of a single flat piece of paper, which by intricate folding is transformed into a 3-dimensional model. I also create more complex templates consisting of several parts that are glued together to construct the final model. I've have done commissioned work for the toy industry, for promotional purposes and for books and magazines. Growing up in the seventies and eighties, my personal work is heavily inspired by retro design, videogames, movies, bright plastic toys and TV cartoons. Most of this work can be downloaded for free from my site. So get your knives and glue out, download some of the models and start building. Enjoy!

These Iai arts were performed by NAGAE Matasaburo, in his sixties (guess). He was born and lived in Nagasaki, received the 7th grade of Kendo and 8th grade of Iai from Zen-Nippon Kendo Renmei (All-Japan Kendo Federation). He also practiced Shinto Munen style Iai. The original movies were recorded in 8mm films, then edited in a VHS tape. It's not known who took and maintained these films (maybe one of Matasaburo's disciples did). They were converted to DV (digital video) format, stored in HDD, finally created QuickTime H.263 format (360x240, 15fps, compressed).

Celà vous évitera de rentrer les noms des films un à un, ce qui serait franchement long avec une grosse collection.Ce module permet de scanner les films sur un ou plusieurs répertoires (aussi bien les réseaux) afin de créer une base de donnée (sous format Xml, codé en iso-8859-1) compatible pour AMC. de quoi ai-je besoin pour faire marcher tout çà? De rien! Vous devez juste avoir installé le dernier pack Xlobby. Pour plus de transparence, voici ce qu'il contient pour les films: -Xlobby bien entendu avec un skin FR compatible (Xmedia2+games) -Ant movie Catalog et son fichier movies.amc contenant votre base de donnée. Ce dernier se trouve dans C:\Program Files\Ant Movie Catalog\Catalogs\movies.amc -Xparameter pour l'import massif de films dans amc

Heroine is inspired by the typeface Windsor, designed by Eleisha Pechey in 1905. Windsor is the typeface used in the titles of many Woody Allen movies. A modern interpretation of this rusty pearl is something that always have been missing in the major type libraries. But Heroine is not only an interpretation, it goes beyond that. With the addition of swashes and alternate letters in several styles it becomes very addicitve.

It is, however, a fun idea to play with. The camera really is enough of a specialized platform that it could be one of the few devices that doesn’t succumb to convergence over the next decade (I don’t share TechCrunch’s optimism about phone cameras). Every other device we interact with is getting smarter, so why not the camera? Sure, you’ve got smile shutter and 100 scene modes and all those features we don’t want or need, but that’s not smart. It’s convenient, and barely that. And you’ve got HD movie mode now — great, but while admittedly the resolution is slightly higher now, my 2MP Sony was doing movies in 2001.
